Read guideHow listings are chosen
Texas has no statewide swimming pool contractor license. Every business listed here appears in the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Residential Appliance Installation Contractor file with an unexpired license and a Texas business address, as of October 2026. TDLR guidance says these license holders may install and replace pool heaters, pumps, motors, automation and other pool electrical equipment; new circuits need an electrical contractor and new gas lines a licensed plumber. We add a few pool and spa plumbing companies from the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) and leave out big-box and chain retail stores. We don't claim every listed business installs heaters: service tags come only from the business name, so confirm that a contractor installs or services the heater type you want. We do not publish ratings, reviews or phone numbers.
